Each pet cooling fan comes with two small, retractable arms, which allow the fan to be hung onto a cage, crate or pet carrier - basically anything on which these two foldaway arms (at the back of the fan) fit onto. These deluxe Pet Cooling Crate Fans feature a unique thermostatic control, which automatically activates the fan when a preset temperature of for example 74, 80 or 86 degrees Fahrenheit is reached. Additional replacement freezer pack refills are also available and sold separately. The above mentioned 12 volt DC Car Adapter plugs into a car or van cigarette lighter outlet to run the fan whilst travelling. The DC Car adapter furthermore comes with a 20 ft lead, so you should also be able to run the lead all the way until the crate. A standard pet cooling crate fan is also available in silver, which does not automatically come on based on its thermostat.
